I was suggesting that they could now make a Glide compatible driver that hooked into the nVidia hardware instead of the Voodoo hardware. I want to see Glide in NVidia cards, if not they never should have bought out 3DFX because that was it's real strong suit. It can be further developed I am sure to include all the latest do-dads that the other api's have. The fact is that it works and works well and if NVidia throws such a fan base away they are losing alot of the market of the the 3DFX fans that still like 3DFX cards and their Glide support.Īnd who is to say that Glide must stay the same. I mean really folks, so what if it doesn't support 32-bit color. I love the way it looks and plays even on my slow K6-2. Why should a api that is so well-loved, works well with all the games it that support it and makes even the most mediocre gaming machine get decent framerates be abandoned?
